When it comes to authentic Italian food, there are several staples one expects to find on the menu; linguine, for instance. And, when it comes to Amherst restaurants, you can count on the chefs at PastAmore to deliver such choices. And, you better believe we are preparing for the upcoming National Linguine Day!
Because we’re so excited about celebrating one of the world’s oldest pasta with our customers, we are kicking off the fun by dedicating this article entirely to linguine.
A little history to begin.
In Italian, linguine translated means ‘little tongues.’ First appearing in the early 1700s, linguine was traditionally served with a pesto sauce, green beans, and potatoes. This combination remains a popular choice in Liguria to this day. Of course, many variations have come about over the years. One of our customer’s favorite is Zuppa di Pesce.
An Easy Linguine Recipe
